NEIGHBORHOOD
FAMILY ROSARIES
"Pray the Rosary every day in honor of Our Lady of the Rosary, in order to obtain peace for the world" and "Sacrifice yourselves for sinners"
- Our Lady of Fatima
Why Ave Maria?
Each time the name of the town is uttered, the words of St. Gabriel are recalled and the Hail Mary is begun. How could there be a better place to answer Our Lady’s call than the town named for her Annunciation?
Here, in the town dedicated to Our Blessed Mother from its very inception is the place we can build the epicenter of Marian devotion.
Together, through every Rosary, every Sacrifice, every Consecration, every First Saturday Devotion, we can send millions of rays of light and love to heaven. In return, mercy and blessings will be showered on Ave Maria and the world.

First Saturdays Devotion
The First Saturday devotion, given by Jesus and Mary, is an integral part of the Fatima message. Through this devotion we grow closer to Our Blessed Mother and console her wounded, Immaculate Heart. Practiced on the First Saturday of each month, this devotion makes reparation for sins, helps convert sinners, and is critical for peace in the world.
The Importance of the First Saturday Devotion
"Whether the world has war or peace depends on the practice of this devotion along with the consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary."
-Sr.Lucia (Fatima visionary), March 19, 1939
Why First Saturdays?
To make reparation to the Immaculate Heart of Mary and to save souls.
“Here, dear daughter, is the motive that led the Immaculate Heart of Mary to petition Me to ask for this small act of reparation. And, out of regard for her, to move My mercy to pardon those souls who have had the misfortune to offend her. As for you, seek endlessly, with your prayers and sacrifices, to move Me to mercy in regard to these poor souls.”
Jesus to Sr. Lucia, May 1930
Jesus went on to explain that the devotion makes reparation for the five ways that people offend and blaspheme against the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Theses sins are:
1. Offences or blasphemies against the Immaculate Conception – its denial and/or ridicule
2. Blasphemies against her perpetual virginity
3. Blasphemies against her divine maternity, refusing to accept her as the Mother of God and mother of all mankind
4. Blasphemies of those who implant in children’s hearts indifference, contempt, and even hate against our Immaculate Mother
5. Insults directed against her sacred images –displays of indifference or ridicule, and the infliction of damage to them.
